She is so beautiful.
In the beauty of her face,
I have courage.
In the wisdom of her words,
I am struck with awe and pride.
For in her words is;
She is so young.
She is so strong and beautiful.
I thank God that she is my daughter.
I love her so and always will.
Once you are a parent – you understand the true meaning of unconditional love. As my daughter grows the love in my heart for her swells more and more. I always thought that I would have lots to teach her and show her but I have found that I learn just as much from her. Her honesty is refreshing, her wisdom natural and her adaptability to whatever happens in life amazing. I love her and understand “our children is not our children, They are the son’s and daughters of life longing for itself. They come through us but not from us.” to quote Kahlil Gibran – where he basically tells us to let go of our kids for they need to live independent when the time comes. I agree with this and feel blessed to be a mum and learn so much from my little one. Although at the age of 15, she protest loudly if I call her little or my baby 🙂
Lots of love
