Ten tips on how to boldly embrace your purpose

In this article, I will be sharing tips from personal mastery experts on how to boldly embrace your purpose. Leaving your comfort zone for the unknown is not for the faint-hearted. And yet there is something within all of us, that calls out to us to grow and transform.

Something new that will allow you to test your creativity and possibly provide you with a greater sense of joy? Do you feel rooted to where you find yourself even though a restless energy course through you?

Re-imagine your life with Covid-19 and lockdown

The gift of Covid-19 has brought with it a time to reflect and to re-imagine our lives. We’ve learned how precious life is and about new and exciting ways that we can engage with the world. And while some people have rushed forward in innovative ways some of us are on the outskirts of this new virtual world, doing our best to make sense of it all. Being clear on the way forward and knowing what to let go of in uncertain times cautions us from stampeding forward.  Yet we know we can’t remain where we’ve always been.

The need to grow and change

In the natural evolution of life, we all grow to a point where we want more from our lives. And even though we try to brush these thoughts off and we remind ourselves that we have bills to pay; they somehow never leave. We feel it deep in our being like a soft whisper that blows through the chambers of our hearts. And the various life events like Covid-19 brings forth the need to grow and change at a rapid rate.

So, why can’t you do something different?

Your thoughts and dreams are your sense of purpose connecting with you. They are coming from the divine and are awakening you to the possibility of your life. You can serve in a novel, creative, and unique way. It’s all up to you, what you choose and what you do about it.

What is keeping you stuck?

Limiting beliefs about your abilities, talents, and potential keep you rooted to your worn-out reality. You believe the judgements of others who said, “You’re not clever enough. Or determined enough or talented enough to achieve greatness.”

The impact of negative thoughts and emotions

You allow your negative thoughts to distract you from your vision of achieving your life’s mission. Telling yourself that ‘I can’t do it. It’s hard. I don’t have the resources, time, or capabilities to start. Others are so much better at this than me.’

You allow emotions such as fear, anxiety, and doubt to rule everything you say and do. Your confidence dwindles and affects even areas where you’ve always been strong.

Letting go of your ego

Your ego has great power on your thoughts, emotions, and ultimately what you do in your life. It’s by opting to stay where you are that causes your frustrations and disappointment in yourself to grow. You find that the movement through your life is with less ease even though you are square in your comfort zone.

By letting go of your ego and following the guidance from God you can transform your life. You can get unstuck and change the impact of your life in the world.

Tip One – pay attention

Pay attention to the whispers from your soul. The thoughts about doing something different is your higher purpose reconnecting with you. You can choose to ignore it or to align with the universal all creative mind that’s guiding you towards your purpose and expansion.

Tip two – ask yourself questions

Ask yourself, “How can I use my talents to serve?” By simply asking questions your subconscious mind will guide you towards the answers that you seek.

Tip Three – Faith

Keep faith and trust the inner silent knowing. You are being guided to share yourself in a creative and loving way; by using the skills and interests that are inherently part of you.

Tip Four – Surrender

Accept where you are and surrender to God. By letting go and letting God, you will start to act on your inner intuitive impulses to create the job of your dreams. By taking action and detaching from the outcome, everything that you desire shows up in your life.

Tip Five – Focus on you

Get to know yourself. Seek out the silence and go inward. Practices like praying and meditation will help you discover your uniqueness, unlimited potential, and capabilities.

Tip Six – Awareness and Gratitude

Be in a state of awareness and gratitude. You will transform your experiences meaningfully by being present in each moment of your life. Life and everything around you are magical when you truly observe it as it is…and not by how we perceive it to be in our minds or internal representations where we delete, generalize or distort information and reality.

What is gratitude

Gratitude means counting your blessings again and again. Your cup overflows when you notice everything you have to be grateful for.

Tip Seven – Empowering beliefs

Change limiting beliefs to empowering beliefs

  1. Associate gigantic pain to the old belief
  2. Associate immense pleasure for a new empowering belief. E.g. I am love.
  3. Use the pattern interrupt technique to question or interrupt the reference legs of our old beliefs. As the old belief come up see yourself scratching the image or CD of this belief. It will help you to think and behave differently.
  4. Have conviction about your new belief and the experience that you want to create.
  5. Ask yourself questions that will help you create an emotional intensity for your new belief. E.g. What will it cost me if I don’t love myself? What am I teaching my children by not loving myself?
  6. You can reinforce the new belief by adding new and more powerful references to it. E.g. ‘I am divine. I make time for me. I do what I enjoy.’
  7. Take action – commit and raise the level of your emotional intensity and conviction. Practice (fire the neural pathway of your new belief). E.g. I love me. Practice gratitude. Be consistent in act of loving you and others.
  8. Focus, associate, and lock your new belief into place.

Tip Nine – Overcome fear

Rise to meet fear. Fear stops us from many things in life. It grows out of proportion in our minds and affects how we feel and what we do. It spirals our emotions lower to doubt, anxiety, and stress.

What do we fear most?

  1. Failure – ‘What will others think of me?’
  2. The unknown – ‘How can I be sure it will work out?’
  3. Rejection – ‘What if no one wants what I have to offer?’

By not giving in to fear you will achieve phenomenal results. By trusting your light, you learn that there’s nothing to fear.

Tip Ten – Take Risks
